Missing

1Northern Shooting Range - 1:30PM

'Hello, darling. Sorry, but just wait for me a bit longer.'

Sumire's lips curved to a smile hearing Toh's voice fill her mind. It was something he shared with her the other day. About being an evolved human like her and his powers being mind related.

'I'm cold.' Sumire complained, as she stepped into one of the gun booths. 'There is no heating in this place.'

She could picture his smirk and sly smile.

'Just hold out, I'll warm you up later.'

'How will you be doing that?' Sumire challenged him.

'There are ways you know.'

'Inappropriate ones?'

Hearing his wicked laughter, Sumire's cheeks flushed. Maybe she is being far too bold. But, she truly wants to be more honest with him. In a few hours, they'll be travelling to the region where the inn is, and get a start on their trip.

Before that, Sumire decided to do some jobs for Aki to appease him. She finally got it done, and ended up in the shooting range as she waited for Toh to finish his own work.

Sumire picked up the gun, only for Toh to suddenly send an image, a feeling of him kissing her shoulders, her neck and then her lips.

Her cheeks burned but she shook her head and tried to imagine herself pulling him closer, a challenge. She can't allow him to tease her all the time.

Another chuckle.

'I can't wait to have my way with you tonight, and the next few nights.'

'Since it's happening on my terms, you can't have too much fun.'

For a minute Sumire thought she was going too far. Only to hear another dirty chuckle and felt the sensation of him touching her breasts.

Sumire looked horrified and she immediately video called him.

"S-stop it! If I make strange sounds here, people will stare and my reputation-" Sumire paused when she got a look at his appearance

Shirtless, soaked in sweat.

"Y-your at the beach?" Sumire looked away nervously.

Toh's lips curved amused. "Why are you looking away? You'll be seeing plenty of this the next few days."

Sumire blushed. God, she feels like an idiot around him. What is she doing blushing like a middle schooler would?

"I-I didn't know you did modelling jobs too. I thought you went over as a designer." She nervously changed the topic.

Toh nodded. "That was the original plan. But they were short one male model."

"So they just asked you?"

He chuckled and Sumire felt her heart skip a beat seeing that devilish smirk. Oh god, what is Toh doing to her? Recently, she is feeling more self-conscious whenever he does anything. Her feelings towards this person have increased. But, she still isn't sure if she loves him. She is very fond of him and likes him a lot, yet there is something wrong.

"Yeah." Toh trailed off and stared at her for a few minutes. Sumire looked away, cheeks burning. "I didn't get a chance to say this earlier, but those clothes look very good on you."

Normally she hesitates to wear the clothes Toh gives her, but she didn't bring anything spare to wear since she only decided to stay over abruptly last night. Though Toh insists that there is no need for her to bring spare clothes and she understands why. He does have that room filled with clothes that nobody else has worn.

Still, she has been living a regular life style the last few years and the clothes Toh make look so extravagant and elegant. People in school are already noticing how she has suddenly become more fashionable.

"T-thank you-" Sumire stammered and right at that moment she felt a sensation of Toh's lips on hers.

"R-really stop doing that!" She exclaimed.

Toh laughed. "I have to go, but I'll be missing you like crazy until I see you again."

"Hmm, well I won't." It was a lie of course. But Toh has already teased and gotten the upper hand enough times today.

"See you later beautiful."

After Toh said those words, Sumire heard approaching footsteps and sighed deeply. "Well, now are you going to tell me why you fought with Ru?"

The person standing behind her was none other than Tachibana Masaru. She raised her eyebrow when he flopped onto the bench behind her. Even without looking at his face, she knew there was still injuries there.

"Do you really have to ask me that lady?"

Sumire loaded the gun and started to aim at the targets. "I don't have to, but you'll tell me eventually."

"I caught him talking to Nagawa Sano again, and told him to cut it out. I am already respecting your wishes not to beat him up. But, I don't know why Mamoru is speaking so casually to the bastard that broke your heart."

For a brief moment Sumire flinched hearing Sano's name. But, the images of their break up is replaced with the longing in those kisses and look in his eyes when Ru stayed over in the hospital. The words he said about explaining it to her eventually and getting her back.

She has tried not to think about it and focused on Toh. However, if Ru is meeting with Sano secretly still. Perhaps there is something she is missing.

"You knew about his illness."

When she tried to confine with Futaba and asuka about it, both of them didn't know and not even Aki. Then again, the latter is very good at hiding what he is thinking.

"I accidentally discovered it, and before you accuse me. I have repeatedly told him to get treatment and insisted that he tells you. But you know how stubborn he is." Masaru explained.

Of course she knew. Ru is one of the only people she feels like she truly knows and understands.

"His illness, there is something strange about it." Sumire paused. "Will you find out for me? I am sure you have had your suspicions."

Unfortunately she won't be able to do this investigation without Ru finding out. She doesn't want him to know because that will make him worry even more. The reason Ru didn't tell her was because he didn't want to burden her.
