The Wizard called Oz - HP

Fury

Fury

As Oz stared at the body on the wall he felt his blood boil. His mind that had previously blanked out started to settle again.

'Craig... Why the hell did it have to be you...'.

Oz knew himself well and understood that while any student dying would have left a bad taste in his mouth, he would have let it happen if it meant destroying these horcruxes faster. Anything that allowed him to pursue his goals faster would be a welcome surprise to him even if the means of speeding up his pursuit of his goals were sometimes unethical. One of his slight worries over the past while was that the chamber could open at any moment in this new canon seeing as though the holder of the diary had changed. In addition to this worry he also was cautious of how lucky they were in the canon to have nobody die to the basilisk considering all it took to kill was its gaze.

Even though he knew how dangerous this all was he still kept a relaxed demeanour and deep down he felt that if a death were to happen it may even be necessary to an extent in order for him to hurry this story along. However seeing his former friend hung on a hook in front of him he started to realise that some of his previous notions were wrong.

Him and Craig weren't the best of friends. Oz always kept a sort of barrier between people and only recently that barrier began to crack with some of the others in his group. When it came to Craig however he felt as though deep down he looked down on him. After all the boy had a naïve mindset when he first met Oz and even though he reformed he seemed to just be an average guy. Included with this was the fact that he never appeared in the canon so Oz imagine him to be someone of basic value. However looking back on their relationship and his past interactions with the boy Oz felt a pang of regret as he never really gave him the chance to become actual good friends with him. He never gave him the time of day, only ever knowing the surface level that was the character 'Craig' and he treated him like a true background character.

While all this sparked the fire of fury within Oz, what let the flame rage on was his own anger towards himself. He let this happen on his watch when he felt he had everything in his grasp.

The teachers around Oz looked at him with wariness as they sensed the aura he was giving off was becoming extremely chaotic. Some of them even started to take out their wands. Dumbledore on the other hand looked at Oz with worry tinged in his eyes. He had experienced first hand how dangerous this version of Oz when they had a duel in the chess room. Holding out his hand he ushered all the teachers to lower their wands.

"But Albus… the boy looks like he's about to burst!".

Mcgonagall called out in worry at Dumbledore who ushered them back from Oz. Dumbledore shook his head at Mcgonagall before continuing.

"Minerva, that boy is someone I don't think any of you can handle right now. Its safer to let him sort through things himself...".

All the teachers surrounding the area fell into shock once again after hearing Dumbledore's words of caution. Putting their wands away they looked at Oz who was stood still.

Inside Oz right now his blood was boiling. He felt as if his 'pride' was wounded and that if he didn't do something about it he would feel uncomfortable for a long time. Taking a deep breath he collected himself putting on his usual calm demeanour. Turning back around he looked at all the teachers present before locking eyes with Dumbledore.

"This situation… Give me one hour and I'll have the head of the thing that did this. By the break of dawn these troubles will be gone".

Dumbledore looked back at Oz seemingly nodding at his words. Looking at the boy's eyes he saw rage burning within them that seemed to be not only directed at whatever did this but towards himself as well.

"Okay Oz, go ahead".

Oz nodded at Dumbledore's affirmation as he casted a spell onto himself.

{Augmentum}

A dragon-tongued version of his own spell came out in response to his blood that was boiling for a battle. His body welled up with magical power as every part of him felt stronger than before. Immediately he zoomed away heading towards the second floor bathroom leaving behind in his wake a bunch of shocked teachers.

"You seem to trust him an awful lot Dumbledore... Didn't he put you in all that trouble a while back?"

Dumbledore turned to his fellow colleagues as he stroked his beard. Looking at Snape who had inquired about his and Oz's relationship he sighed.

"Some people are better to have as allies than enemies Severus...".

The teachers looked at Dumbledore in confusion before looking towards where Oz had headed off.

"Madam Pomfrey, please handle the body and take it to the hospital ward. I'll contact the parents of this boy and tell them what has happened. If Oz manages to defeat the thing that is responsible the impact this situation has on the school could still be lessened...".

As the teachers scattered to sort the situation out, Dumbledore found himself thinking of Hogwarts's motto as he recalled the look in Oz's eyes.

"Draco Dormeins Nuncuam Titilandum... A sleeping dragon should never be disturbed...".

.

After leaving behind all the teachers Oz found himself zooming down the halls of Hogwarts. He eventually arrived at the girls bathroom.

As he entered all he could focus on was the entrance to the chamber in front of him disguised as taps. Moaning Myrtle who was present in the toilet noticed Oz as he came in and called out to him.

"Oz? Did you come to-".

As she called out to Oz she noticed midway through her sentence that something was off with him. It seemed he had tunnel-vision of some kind as he was purely focused on the sink in front of him. He took a long look at it before confirming that the wards had been broken and the chamber opened recently.

'Judging by what I can tell it seems that someone entered the chamber recently...'.

"Myrtle, has anyone entered here in the past while?".

Moaning Myrtle shook a bit as she heard Oz's question.

"N-No I haven't seen anyone or heard anything. I was in my cubicle until a couple minutes ago just before you arrived".

Oz let out a long sigh as annoyance filled his expression.

'I can only hope my theory works here else I'll have to force my way in'.

Opening his pouch, Oz took out the diadem box and in turn the diadem within it holding it in his grasp. As he looked at the tap in front of him that had a snake engraved onto it he spoke out.

{OPEN}

Responding to his will his blood reacted allowing him to speak once again in dragon-tongue. After some time still, nothing happened.

'So it definitely needs to be parseltongue...'.

Looking at the ward placed on the entrance Oz noticed that the main ward protecting it had seemed to unlock when Oz took out the diadem. Parseltongue seemed to only act as a means of opening the entrance. To put it in perspective if you looked at the entrance as if it was a 'door' then the diadem, a piece of the heir of Slytherin, was a 'key' whilst parseltongue was a 'handle'. The door was now unlocked and while Oz couldn't open the door with the handle he could just force himself through.

{Confringo}

Pointing his wand at the entrance he casted 'Confringo' in dragon-tongue. As the spell connected with entrance it exploded violently causing an extremely loud *BANG* to resonate through the bathroom and the corridor it resided in. After the dust had settled Oz could see that he had made a way into the chamber now.

"Myrtle, Do not let anyone and I repeat ANYONE follow me down there understand? I imagine soon that some teachers might come, tell them that I'm the one thats down there and they will help you keep this area secure".

Myrtle nodded quickly at Oz's command as he turned back to look at the entrance. Walking over he jumped down the shoot that lead down into the chamber of secrets.

.

Falling for a while Oz eventually landed in the area that led to the chamber. With 'Augmentum' still active he rushed on ahead through the tunnel before him the lead towards the chamber.

'The only thing I need to be careful of is the Basilisk's gaze. Even then there's a chance that my own eyes are able to combat that aura but its best not to risk it. As long as I can blind it momentarily I should be able to kill it in the window that I get'.

After going through many battle methods in his mind Oz finally found himself in front of the door to the chamber. Knowing that the door required parseltongue to open again Oz pointed his wand directly at it.

{Confringo}

Another dragon-tongue spell came out as he decimated the door in front of him. The door in question flew backwards into the Chamber of Secrets banging as it hit the floor. Walking over to the entrance Oz hopped down into the chamber and started to walk forward.

In front of Oz he could see the body of a girl laid down on the floor. At the angle he was at he couldn't see the girls face nor identify who she was. This scenario was reminiscent of what happened to Ginny in the original canon and Oz guessed that she was the new wielder of the diary. A bit away from the girls hand was the diary in question with its pages wide open. Seeing the diary Oz started to walk towards it and just as he was nearing it he felt a presence nearby.

"It seems an unwelcome guest has managed to make his way down here... What a foolish boy walking to his death".

Looking towards the direction of the voice, Oz could see an ethereal boy staring at him.

'Tom Riddle'.

The spectre of Riddle walked across towards the girl that was laid on the floor and looked down at her with scorn laced in his eyes.

"Are you here to save this little one? Such a stupid girl she is. The first time she opened the diary I was able to ensnare her straight away. Someone with nobody close to them is always much easier to manipulate than someone with people around them...".

As Oz saw Riddle starting to monologue about how he had manipulated the girl in front of him he looked at him coldly.

"You've got it all wrong Riddle, or should I say Voldemort. I didn't come down here to save her or play your little 'Heir of Slytherin' game. I came here for one reason and one reason only".

Taking out his wand Oz pointed it at the spectre of Riddle in front of him.

"To show you that some people are not to be fucked with".
