Chasing After My Wife

CHASING AFTER HIM

CHASING AFTER HIM

"How many did you eat?" Travis asked her while waiting for the chocolate to melt in his mouth.

"I ate the other half of that. Even if I want to eat another piece, Valkyrie won't let me." she admitted to him before climbing down his lap but Travis held her still on her waist.

"Just stay put while I work."

"Your legs will feel numb if I do that." Jillyanna responded with a pout. "I don't want you to think that I am heavy."

"Who said you're heavy? If not for your pregnancy, I would really feed you to gain some weights." spoke to her, care and love were evident in his voice and eyes. She could see his sincerity being laid out in front of her.

"You really know how to talk." she responded with her blushing face and leaned her head on his chest. "Do you think Valkyrie will succeed?"

"Hn. It may take him a month or two but he will get him."

"Month or two? That long? Brown is that stubborn? I can't believe it with that angelic face of his."

"Just like you, he went through a lot. Accepting a relationship with Val might be more difficult for him. He wouldn't want to feel guilty for betraying his master."

"Master?"

"Hn. Valkyrie's father is his master. He was adopted to their family when he was young."

"I feel sad for them." Jillyanna stated while forming circles on his chest with her fingers. She covered her mouth when she yawned and closed her eyes. "I'm sleepy."

"Alright. Let's go to sleep now." he closed his laptop and carried her back to their room. "How unusual for you to sleep this early." Travis kissed the space between her eyes and laid her on their bed. "Good night sweetheart."

"Hmm." Jillyanna hugged his waist and leaned even closer. "Don't go anywhere."

"I'm not going anywhere." he whispered as he slid under the blanket beside her and covered her body with the thick quilt. He soon closed his eyes and gave in to the pull of sleep with the warmth of her love and body.

When morning came, Jillyanna woke up earlier than Travis. It was another morning for her to just stare and look at his sleeping face. She didn't get a chance to do this often because it was usually Travis who woke up first between them.

The sun was shining brightly outside and the wind was blowing the curtain lightly. 'I am so lucky to have you but you are so unlucky to have me.' she thought to herself with a pouty lips. 'What can I do for this guy?' she asked herself internally.

An idea suddenly popped out of her mind and she smiled brightly while looking at him. 'I can at least do that for him. But I can't shop today since Winter and Brown will be coming over. Oh! I can just ask them to come with me instead.'

With these thoughts, she already made a plan to shop with Winter. She can't bring Travis with her because she wanted to surprise him.

More than an hour had passed before Travis stirred in his sleep and opened his eyes slowly. "Morning sweetheart." he murmured while trying to blink away his sleepiness.

"Morning." she responded before placing a quick kiss on his lips. "I woke up first today. Did I make you feel tired from all the walking yesterday."

"Nope. I just feel comfortable sleeping with you and today is Sunday so I think you'd sleep more."

"I am just so excited to see Brown and Winter. By the way, I am planning to shop today."

"What time are we leaving?"

"Not we. Just me. You have work to do and I don't want to take your time today. However, I want Winter and Savannah to come with me."

"I can stop my work today. I mean, it is Sunday for us to spend time together." Travis retorted back at her.

"Did you forget something? Tomorrow, we will be coming back to the villa and face my family."

"Right! Thanks for reminding me. I'll think of the things to prepare." Travis kissed her forehead before removing the blanket off of his body. "Is there anything that they like in particular?"

"Nope. They would appreciate it if you won't buy expensive things. They always scold me when I buy expensive things for them."

"I understand. I'll ask Dad for advice. Are you sure you don't want me to accompany you?"

"Hn. It's fine."

They both climbed down from the bed and started their day by taking a bath first. When they got down for breakfast, Valkyrie was pacing back and forth in the leaving room.

"What's the matter?" Jillyanna asked him. Before Valkyrie could answer him, Winter came out from the kitchen and ran to her.

"Summer!" she called out to her and hugged her. "I am glad that you finally wanted to talk to me."

Jillyanna stared at her before shifting her gaze to Valkyrie. "Where's Brown?"

"Brown is in their room. He hadn't come out since earlier and he won't open the door either." Winter answered her question. "It took me so long to convince him to come here."

"Why don't you check up on him Val?" Jillyanna spoke while giving him a cheerful wink. "Go and take him out here."

With her words of encouragement, Valkyrie ran upstairs and knocked on their room. When Brown came earlier, he was kicked out of their room before he locked it. Good thing he always have the key with him.

Without even knocking on the door, he opened it with his key. On the bed was Brown eating the chocolates. On his foot were shred of papers which was from his letter.

"You are eating it."

"Obviously. I can die from diabetes with these chocolates. If this is your way of slowly getting rid of me, I welcome you to do this. At least it won't be painful." Brown responded to him before putting another piece of chocolates.

Valkyrie took it away from him and put it on the table. "I don't want you to die and I am not slowly getting rid of you."

"Whatever."
