The Great CEO's Wife is a Gangster

CHAPTER 34: A COUP DE ETAT?

CHAPTER 34: A COUP DE ETAT?

Aisha returned to Hunter's pet shop at around 3am. She had a hard time escaping since Robert stayed in his study room for quite some time.

"So how did it go? Did you find anything?" Caleb sleepily asked her. She was perplexed.

"I didn't find anything about my sister. But I did find something. Give me a print out on these." She gave them her phone then she lay down on the couch. She slumbered for a while.

Hunter checked her phone, he was stunned. He showed the pictures to Caleb.

"What the --- Is this a coup d'etat?" Caleb yelled.

***Meanwhile, unknown to Aisha, his father Demetrius was in the Central City of Oregon. It was known in the North that he was there for a business trip. He was with General Archedeus, Caleb's father. He left his brother Liam to oversee the organization and their businesses since it would take him some time to go back home.

"Liam, how's everything in there? I'm sorry that I called you just now. I'm a little bit busy here." Demetrius told his brother Liam.

"Everything's fine here. I got it all under control. Don't worry; just do what you need to do there." Liam answered.

"Okay, thank you. I know I could trust you." Demetrius smiled.

"By the way brother, have you already seen our Aisha?" He probed.

"'No, not yet. she doesn't know I'm here. I will surprise her soon, ha-ha." Demetrius' excitement can be heard over the phone.

"Oh I get it. But if you see her, please let me know. I want to speak with her as well. I'm missing my naughty niece after all." He laughed on the other line.

"Okay, I'll tell her to call you once I see her." Demetrius answered before he hung up.

After Demetrius disconnected the call, Liam dialed another number.

"Lay low for now. My brother is in the City. Tell your men and the bounty hunters to lay low. Just keep watching for my brother right now. He might meet her sooner and later." Liam ordered the man on the other line.

"Yes boss. I'll contact our men as soon as possible."

"Don't blow your cover. My brother knew about the threat on Aisha's life. He will definitely do everything to get those who go near her." Liam added.

"I understand boss." Then Liam disconnected the call.

"I guess I will start my plan here..." Liam thought to himself then he laughed wickedly.

***Aisha woke up at around one in the afternoon. She didn't see Caleb and Hunter around. She pulled her body up from the couch. Her stomach was craving for something, so she went directly to the fridge to look for food, however she found none.

"What! Is he that poor?" She sighed. She went to Hunter's station. She found her phone on top of some bond papers. She checked the papers beneath; it was indeed the photos that she took at Robert's Study room. She browsed them again. It seemed that they've been preparing to destroy the Williams for God knows how long. She remembered the last time she overheard their conversation, they spoke of how Stacy was related on their plans.

"Did Stacy really know something about this? But why?" She asked herself. 'Something was not right here. I have to find out the truth.' She thought.

Aisha studied the names on the list. It was the list of investors, board members and some high figures in the company. They signed an alliance with the Hertiz. She stroked her temples. She needed to know why the Hertiz were trying to destroy the Williams Empire. She needed to act now before it was too late. These factions would seize their moment next month, on the day of the company's annual symposium. She had three weeks to figure out everything. And who was that mysterious guy anyway? He didn't seem like an old gal either.

She was in deep thought when Caleb and Hunter came. They were carrying some food supplies.

"What took you so long? I'm starving to death in here!'' She glared at them. They were surprised. They looked at each other. "I guess an Aisha will always be Aisha." They were having mind-to-mind conversation.

They placed the food in front of her. Her eyes glittered as she munched on the food heartily.

"So what's your plan?'' Caleb asked her.

"I will resume my work in the company on Monday." She said while blowing her hot choco.

"Are you sure? I thought you took a week of vacation leave?" Caleb questioned her.

"I will retract it. I don't have enough time. I only have a month before the Annual Symposium." She said with her mouth full.

"Okay! At least you would be able to see Ethan anytime. It would be less stress for me!" Hunter and Caleb chuckled. Aisha threw some pillows at them.

"Hey! What do you mean by that huh?! Are you saying that I am becoming a burden to the both of you?!" She yelled at them.

"Ha-ha, yes?" Hunter was teasing her.

"We're tired of keeping up with your mood swings, that's just it. And we hope you could go back to your own house because we are tired of you claiming our shared beds." Caleb chuckled.

"Shut up! Do you still love your life!?" She threatened them. They laughed at her funny make-a-face.
