His mother's schedule remains jam-packed just like his father's. The only person in this world who can prompt her to make a change in it.... couldn't be anyone other than her darling grandson.
He stood up from his desk and sauntered towards Liu Jeilan. "What are you doing here?" Liu Jeilan glided towards him with a smile on her face and sparkle in her eyes..... but....
She passed by his side, treating him like air, and went to hug Honey. "See, grandma's here. Didn't I say I'll be there on time?"
Wang Shi "...."
"Grandma!" Another wave of shock hit Wang Shi when Honey opened his arms like starfish and walked into Liu Jeilan's embrace. No words could describe his mental state at the moment. And no genius in this world could understand the intricate mind of his son.
"You called me grandma!" She almost danced in joy, "I've been dying to hear this from you. Say it again.... once more.... please."
"Grandma,"
"Ah, my love. Thank you! My munchkin. My sweet child." she puckered her lips to kiss Honey, but he covered his cheeks.
"No kisses,"
"Ok ok, grandma won't kiss you. I won't do anything that you don't like. Just don't be angry again, okay? My sweet baby...."
Standing on the side, Wang Shi watched the scene unfold. Had someone else witnessed this they would definitely be awed by it, but to Wang Shi, it was more of like a horror film.
"Mom, what are you doing here?" he already had a hunch this must be related to the last night's incident. Honey was up to something.
"Why? Can't I come?" Liu Jeilan scowled.
"That's not what I meant. Now come to the point and tell me what's happening. Including you bratty." his curiosity was thoroughly aroused. Truth be told..... he had long lost all the hopes that these two would be together again in the future. But alas, life's unpredictable.
"Don't you dare use that tone on my grandson. I'm here to take him with me," she stood up, her voice was reproachful. "Didn't I say, Honey would never accept your relationship with that woman? Now, this is what you get, he doesn't want to live with you."
"Her name is Suyin." Wang Shi corrected sharply. "Did Honey said he's coming with you because of my relationship with Suyin?" Honey shook his head vigorously, "See."
"Stop scaring him. I know you must have done something that he's not accepting it in front of you,"
Wang Shi made a disgruntled sound, "Does he look scared? Bratty, when was the last time you got scared by me?"
Honey scoffed.
"See, he had the guts to scoff at my face. So stop assuming things, he's not going anywhere." Had he allow her to take Honey, only God knows what words his mother will use to poison Honey's ear against Suyin. Kids are sensitive and get influenced easily. He can't allow his mother and son to spoil his future plans.
"If he will go with me, that not for you to decide." Liu Jeilan broke in impatiently, she caressed Honey's face lovingly. The little one looks like Wang Shi's carbon copy. "Tell your dad you are coming with me and everything is happening because of that woman."
Honey nodded, "I'm coming with you because of Aunty Suyin--"
"See, I told you--" With a proud smirk Liu Jeilan turned to Wang Shi,
"That's because Aunty Suyin said she would only forgive me if I forgive you."
That's why it's said one should not celebrate prematurely. There comes the delicious moment where Liu Jeilan's face washed blank with shock as if her brain cells couldn't run fast enough to understand the information given by Honey.
Wang Shi's brows arched. Everything surprised him. Faintly, he could understand what Honey was trying to do. Well... that's the beauty of having zero expectations, but suddenly you hit the billion-dollar jackpot.
"That w-wom.... cough....Suyin said what?" Liu Jeilan asked, correcting how she addresses Suyin.
"I-I hurt Aunty Suyin because of a misunderstanding. It was my mistake. While chasing her to get her forgiveness, she taught me a lesson, 'Never judge a person for their mistakes, judge a person on how they fix them'." Honey said innocently, batting her lashes, "And she took your example and said, 'your grandma is working so hard to get your love back but you are acting like a bratty, and ignoring her. Now did you realize how it feels when your efforts are continuously ignored?' So I should be a bigger person and forgive you first if I'm seeking Aunty Suyin's forgiveness."
Honey looked at Wang Shi, "You can ask dad, he was there when Aunty Suyin said all that. Am I right, dad?"
Wang Shi "..."
There was no way he could squirm out of the gaze of his mother and son. While Liu Jeilan was seeking confirmation, Honey secretly winked. "Yes,"
"So grandma, I forgive you." Honey grabbed Liu Jeilan's hand in his small ones, "Now Aunty Suyin will forgive me as well. Isn't it good? You can thank Aunty Suyin later, okay?"
Liu Jeilan bit her lip, unsure how to react and what to reply. She was still under the shock of Honey's words. Isn't this a trap? If she says yes, then indirectly she's accepting Suyin, and if she says no, she can just forget about Honey in this lifetime then.
"Okay?" Honey shook her hands, still seeking confirmation.
"Okay," she forced the words out. Anyway, at the moment what matters was to take Honey with her. She really wants to cherish the lost time with her grandson. And who knows, she might be able to talk things out about Suyin.
"Um... mom, can you please give us a moment?" Wang Shi knew that this was only the beginning. The fact Honey was willing to go to his parents' house has deeper planning and something more. Before he leaves, they have to talk.
"Why? Am I stopping you to talk?" She said tightly, raising her defenses. If Wang Shi had been thinking to stop Honey from going to the president's house, he could just dream on.
